Watch an issue

Modified on Tue, 8 Sep at 2:46 PM

If you want to stay informed about every change to an issue, you can watch it. This article shows you how watching works and who gets added as a watcher automatically.

Overview

Using the watch icon in the top right of an issue, you can add yourself as a watcher and will then be notified by notifications about every change to the issue.

Good to know: While viewing an issue, you can also toggle watching on and off with the W key.

Who is added automatically?

The creator and new editors are automatically added as watchers. Users are also automatically added to the watch list once they're added to one of an issue's person fields. Adding yourself manually usually isn't necessary.

Stopping watching

Important: Once you stop watching an issue, you no longer receive change notifications – even if you're the issue's responsible person or editor.
